Adaptive user interaction approach

As I was cleaning up my Delicious bookmarks I realized that they are using the same old "Are you sure..." approach.

 

Not very reassuring for the user. A trivial task like that that requires confirmation? Compare to Google approach:

Nice, clean user interaction confirmation with an option to reverse. Great proactive approach to user interactions without treating your audience as a bunch of five year old kids.
